RESPONSIBILITY OF REFORMATION PODCAST NOTES

Did you know that in the story of the ten minas, the reward for stewarding money well is getting more responsibility? In this podcast, I teach on the principles of how the favor of God works as exemplified in Luke 19

If the Lord gives you $500 more than you need, but then you figure out how to cause the money you were given to make money—if you can create an ecosystem—the Lord says you should be over cities. The men in Luke 19 are responsible for, let’s say, $500, but his next promotion is 10 cities! My point is, oftentimes the Lord gives us a reward and we think that we’re overwhelmed.

Often the challenge is, we complain about the reward, not realizing that the responsibility is the reward. We have the privilege of being responsible for feeding more people, having the responsibility for more cities, etc.

The reason I think that this is really profound right now is that I feel the Lord saying, we need to be the ones to give people something to eat like the story of feeding the 5,000

Many look at the world and are asking the Lord to take care of all of the issues and problems and wanting Him to get rid of them. But I feel like the Lord is saying, “You give them something to eat.”

I believe that in darkness, it is our time to rise. The reality is, we’re about to do the great exchange—beauty for ashes, joy for mourning. As we are rising, we are going to get a reward, and that reward is more responsibility. And if we aren’t careful we will cross the street thinking we don’t have what it takes. But the Lord wants to co-labor with us!
