Prayer is an act of leadership as it authorizes God to do His will on the earth. In this podcast, I teach about being seated in heaven with Christ and I hope to encourage you to step into our divine identity and pray prayers that will shape the world.
Psalms 115
says, “The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth is given to the sons of men.” Did you know that the most powerful thing Adam and Eve did wasn’t to disobey God, it was to obey the devil? In other words, they gave the power that God had given them at creation and gave it to the devil by obeying him.
How many of you know that God is in charge, but he’s not in control? If God were in control, there would be no illness, lying, or pain. Instead, He gave us that control and authority from the very beginning. God intended for humans to be the authority over the earth. However, Adam and Eve gave their authority to the devil when they obeyed him. That is why Jesus had to become a man in order to take the authority back from the devil. They had the authority because God made everything after its own kind, which is why you are a son/daughter of God, because you were made after the God kind. Once Jesus had reclaimed the keys from hell, He then gave the authority back to us (
Matthew 28).
The Bible says we are seated in heavenly places with Christ, I believe that when that changes from a theology or a philosophy to a reality for you, it will change your destiny. Remember, the devil has no human friends.
Praying the prayers of faith. Did you know that the word “little” in
Matthew 17:20, the story of the disciples having faith the size of a mustard seed, is actually translated “briefly?” In other words, it doesn’t refer to the size, but how long you keep it in the fight? He didn’t say their faith wasn’t big enough, he was telling them that they didn’t keep their mustard seed in the fight long enough.
