During this time of crisis, God has called us to arise and shine. In this podcast, I share how we can be full of faith and wisdom in our response to COVID-19, as well as the prophetic vision God gave me about what He’s doing on the earth during this time. I want to encourage you today that God had an answer before there was ever a problem!
In my desire to invest in you and strengthen your faith, I am giving you a FREE digital copy of my book Spirit Wars. And, in hopes to personally guide you on a journey to lasting freedom, I designed a companion to the book— a FREE 4-week video devotional teaching. It's not too late to join!
In December 2015 in the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry class, I prophesied over the Chinese students that there was a great outbreak of a Jesus virus coming to China. God had a Jesus virus before the Coronavirus ever existed. God had an answer before there was ever a problem.
We need to keep Jesus at the center of our focus. If you can’t look at the problem and still have hope, that’s not faith; that’s denial.
Nehemiah is a great example for us.
Nehemiah surveyed the walls, and he was realistic about the current situation. We have to ask ourselves what’s really wrong. Is there a reason why there’s a virus? Are there reasons why the walls are broken down?
You can’t put others at risk with your faith. It’s great that you have faith for yourself, but you don’t want to put other people at risk because they might not have the same faith you have.
I believe God is calling us to reset. Resetting the moral values, the value for life, and the value for the King. It’s not that God caused the virus, but He can use anything.
God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. The lesson in those seasons is about partnership and knowing God personally. The fear factor tends to grow if I don’t know where I’m going, unless I know Who I’m going with. If I think the devil is driving this season, I am focused on trying to take the wheel. But then I reassure myself about Who’s driving. We can’t put our hope in our circumstances, but in Who’s driving. Our peace can’t come from our circumstances or when the virus is going to be over. I have to remind myself of Who I am trusting.
“Arise, shine; for your light has come,
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
“For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
It’s time for us to arise! What does this look like for us?
- Don’t do fear. Don’t let fear tell you what to do.
- Be radically wise. Be like Joshua in the face of this virus. Shake off fear, and remind yourself Who’s driving.
- Find opportunities to serve in honor. It could be something organized or simply offering to get a neighbor groceries.
- Do what your government has asked you to do.
