In this message from January 15th, 2023 at Bethel Church in Redding CA, Kris Vallotton releases a passionate charge for the Body of Christ to return to a lifestyle of radical faith and obedience. God is inviting His Church into a new season where repentance and persistence will be required as individuals step into their promised land of destiny. Let us run into 2023 unleashed and full of faith!
“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17)
“And we all, with unveiled faces, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from
one degree of glory to another.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
- In this season, God is calling us to increase both the size of our faith and our obedience to faith. He is wanting to take His church into new dimensions of faith and glory.
- Not only do we need faith to enter the kingdom but being a disciple of Jesus Christ is a process of faith. Many believers begin in faith but with time can often come to a place of distrust, bitterness and a critical spirit when faced with difficult circumstances and opposition.
- We must remind ourselves that faith requires a fight and that the righteous live by faith. (Romans 1:17)
- God is inviting us to repent for the ways we have been domesticated. He is wanting to unleash us to begin to operate once again by faith and do the deed we did at first. (Revelation 2:5) He is calling us higher and deeper. (Hebrews 11:5)
“Through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles in behalf of His name.” (Romans 1:5)
- The overarching goal of the apostles was to call believers to radical obedience through faith.
- The Church can often be known for reacting to things that go wrong and building a completely different doctrine. Many have downplayed the importance of faith to avoid the disappointment that comes when it seems God did not show up.
- Though we must be careful to never assume someone's situation is due to their lack of faith, we see in Matthew 9:28-29, that the blind man was healed “according to [his] faith” and in Matthew 17, the disciples appear to lack the faith necessary to cast out a demon.
- What if the level of your faith is responsible for your current reality? If you aren’t living beyond your means (beyond what you can control), you are not living by faith.
- Faith is voice activated. Faith is released through speech, whether good or bad. We can either be like the Israelites who grumbled and delayed their entrance to the promised land or we can speak in faith as Joshua and Caleb did.
- Let us attach faith to our voice and speak it out!
