DEVELOPING A PROPHETIC MOVEMENT THAT
REFORMS THE WORLD PART 2 PODCAST NOTES

3 Attributes of a Prophetic Movement that Radically Reform Culture:

  1. It’s engaged in culture.
  2. It’s hopeful.
  3. It’s insightful.

The Greeks had two words for time: Chronos and Karios . Chronos is about the calendar and date, or the time on the clock. Kairos is about the experience of time.

When the Israelites entered the promised land, God did a new thing in them. What the Israelites learned in the wilderness from living off of manna was irrelevant when they got to the promised land.

“In times of change, learners inherit the earth while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.” -Eric Hoffer

The Lord gave me the word “ Providence ,” which means: “God, especially when conceived as omnisciently directing the universe and the affairs of humankind with wise benevolence.” I was in a season where I wasn’t sure if my prophetic words were pointing me in the right direction. I had a dream where God asked me to just follow. Sometimes the journey isn’t about the destination but about getting to know the Tour Guide, learning to trust Him.

Joshua surveys Jericho and sees a man with the sword drawn. “‘Are you for us or for our adversaries?’ He said, ‘No; rather I indeed come now as captain of the host of the Lord.’” Joshua 5:13-14 . The answer is to follow Him. We are in a Kairos season!
