We have access to answers through our relationship with God! In this podcast, I teach how important it is to have an intimate relationship with God as we grow in Spiritual Intelligence. I want to encourage you today that God is excited to have a close friendship with you!
Paul wrote to the Corinthians about the importance of the power of God and understanding we have access to the
mind of Christ:
“For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
1 Corinthians 2:16
What we can’t miss is the foundation of Spiritual Intelligence, which is a relationship with God. In the book of Daniel, Daniel points out that his knowledge came from intimacy with God.
We were a slave to sin, and now we’re a slave to righteousness. We never get to the point where we don’t have to obey God. Our friendship with God will never leave the place of obedience. You are my friends if you do what I command.
“You are My friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.”
John 15:14-15
When move out of slavery and into friendship, it’s not that we’re no longer required to obey, but that we do things because we know the mind of Christ and we do things out of passion and love for Him. Once we’ve laid a foundation of repentance, we build on that foundation. There’s more in the kingdom than these foundational principles, but we don’t leave them behind.
We were created to have communion with God and learn from His intelligence. When we interact with the Creator Who is outside of time we can have wisdom from another age. Why does God speak to us in parables, riddles, and mysteries? He wants communication to bring us into relationship with Him.
